Bala Vihar Food Drive

Rancho Cucamonga Bala Vihar reached out to an organization called NVC Pantry to conduct a food drive on December 20, 2025 at 10 A.M. The food drive encouraged students to donate canned goods such as vegetables, soups, beans, and fruits. These items are easy to store, last a long time, and provide essential nutrition. In addition to food, we also collected toys for children and clothing such as shoes, socks, pants, and shirts. Everyone was invited to participate, and the outcome was inspiring.

Before the food drive took place, the organizer explained what each of us would be responsible for. There were many different roles, and everyone contributed in their own way. Many parents and students also donated food and other items to support the drive.

Each grade level contributed in different ways. The juniors used chalk to draw welcome messages and encouraging notes. They also distributed toys such as puzzles and board games. The intermediate students organized canned goods into bags and arranged shoes on a rack. Some of them also helped hand out the bags to people in need. The senior students helped pack the bags and distribute them to families, working alongside the intermediate students.

Once the collection was complete, the canned foods, clothing, and toys were sorted and prepared for distribution. Volunteers worked together to organize the items so they could be delivered efficiently to families in need. The teamwork and positive energy made the experience meaningful for everyone involved.

This food drive was more than just collecting cans—it was about showing compassion. We handed out food and other essential items to people who needed them most. It reminded us that helping others does not always require grand gestures. Sometimes donating a single can of food or a piece of clothing can help a family get through a difficult time.

In the end, the food drive strengthened our community and showed the importance of giving back. We hope this effort inspires others to take part in similar activities and continue spreading hope, one donation at a time.
